Moroesi Mohoebi - a season wedding planner and events is the proud founder of Crystal Weddings. Her passion for eventing was ignited back in the days when she used to work as an events coordinator for Royal Sechaba, one of South Africa's largest catering companies.

"What brings me joy is finding what makes people tick and translating that into an event concept that will blow them away, leaving them with lifelong memories. I also love the facial expression of when the bride and groom walk into the space for the first time, they become speechless and they go on to just savour the moment. That is priceless to me Moroesi Mohoebi said. Moroesi is driven by that satisfactory sigh after delivering on a client's brief and knowing inwardly that she has superseded their expectations. Her inward drive to always push the boundaries and her particular eye for finer things in life makes her to be quite spectacular in her job. I have been involved in the hospitality space for over a decade and what I love the most about the space is that the clients' brief are always different. This allows for me to be creative and to always try out new things. My entire career has always been centred on customer service and people" says Moroesi.

Moroesi's creative flair was harness during her times at Royal Sechaba where she organised prestigious large events such as Durban July hospitality, A1 Grand Prix hospitality, Macufe Hospitality Village, Mama Tambo's funeral, Lucas Mangope's wedding various government department's events, sports events hospitality as well as a number of corporate events.

Her decision to start her own company came after one of the directors, Pitso Sekhoto who was then a shareholder at Royal Sechaba, approached her and asked her to organise a wedding for his son for 600 guest at a farm. True to her nature, Moroesi took on the challenge and ran with it since this to her was a gesture of the highest vote of confidence. She organised what she calls a successful wedding ever. 'It was at a farm' in Free State and having to pull suppliers from Gauteng was not an easy task'. This was an event of high class as reflected by the guest list which had renowned business people, mayors, cabinet ministers and other high profile individuals' she said. The guests were impressed, with some going to the extent of wanting to know if she could organise their upcoming events. From this point onwards, like they say, the rest is history. This is how Crystal Weddings was born.
